The Traveller may deliver a package to the receiver or to any other person appearing to have authority to accept the delivery of the package on the receiver’s behalf (such as persons at the same premises as the receiver). If no such person is available, the package may be left in the receiver’s letter box, if suitable, or delivered to a neighbour, unless the Sender/Requestor has excluded such delivery options by using the applicable additional service. The receiver shall be informed of any alternate delivery arrangements by note left at their premises. Notwithstanding the previous paragraph, and unless otherwise agreed with the Sender/Requestor, the Traveller/Company may not be held responsible for such package and the Sender/Requestor will be held responsible for any reverse carriage charges, if applicable. The Sender/Requestor also agrees the receiver may receive delivery information regarding a package. The Sender/Requestor expressly waives any claim it may have against the Company arising from following any such instructions provided by the receiver. The Company may use an electronic device to obtain proof of delivery and the Sender/Requestor agrees that it will not object to the Company relying on a printed copy of this as evidence merely on the grounds that the information concerned is obtained and stored in electronic form.
It is the Sender/Requestor's responsibility to provide complete and accurate documentation especially for customs clearance. The Sender/Requestor also agrees that the Traveller may be considered as being the owner of the package for the sole purpose of carrying the package to carry out any customs clearance. In principle, the Traveller and/or Company will not take responsibility for any customs clearance for packages within a customs area.
